Meet Spirit -
our horse who is a member of the family more than a horse.
This horse is too sweet and wonderful to believe. Spirit is
very kind and easy going. Besides being the barn pet, he proved to be very
natural in his leads, talented and willing in his training, and
smooth enough on which to "carry a glass of wine" according to
Cameron Meissner, his trainer. He really floats over the ground. Spirit has the neatest color you've ever seen. Buckskin with roan and copper highlights - people just drool! This is a Cowboy grandson and a young mare's first foal. What does that say about how well Cowboy's daughters produce!? He is a balanced, well-muscled horse. The summer of 2008 we went to a few horse shows and he won firsts in halter, trail, and western pleasure and won the Eastern Montana Horse Show Circuit top senior stallion and reserve green horse. We have some very nice foals from Spirit. His fillies are just incredible. One even has his coloring!! Spirit was also busy breeding outside mares his first year of breeding. People might come planning to breed to one of our other stallions, but when they'd meet Spirit, they'd chose him.
