Nessa is a mare Tana bought and took as a 4-H horse.  They won lots of trophies and Nessa has been used on the ranch ever since.  She is only for experienced riders.  We do not recommend this mare's offspring for inexperienced horse people.  Though they do grow up to be good horses, they inherit her inclination to kick and tend to have dispositions which are less dependable until they've been properly trained.  Nessa is a beautiful mare even in her old age.  One of Tana's favorite horses to ride is a 1999 son, Cowboys Smarty, and he is a terrific all-around horse.  He is exquisite to look at and he is getting dependable enough for the little girls to enjoy as well.  A daughter, Devil Gray Bar, had her first foal in 2004 for us.
