            Are you looking for breeding bulls that will improve your herd and be easy on your pocketbook? If so,

Mahlstedt Ranch has the answer.  We have Salers bulls and Salers-Angus bulls for sale that have good dispositions

and their conformation will easily match or exceed any competitors.

            The calving ease in these cattle is really a plus.  The Salers females have large pelvic openings and the calves

tend  to be very streamlined when born.  We try to raise moderate framed, thick cattle with good dispositions.

They have to be tough to survive in our dry environment. The bull calves are fed a ration of ground oats, barley,

chopped straw and corn gluten along with free choice hay while on a 130 day gain test.

            We keep pedigree and performance information on all of our cattle but we do not register them with the

American Salers Assn. We don’t clip the bulls or feed them fancy feeds so we pass the savings on to you. 

Our Angus cross females have come from AIing and by using AAR Traveler 609-a bull raised by Armstrong Angus

that has very strong maternal traits and the bull calves have tight sheaths.
